How to keep your hands dry while hiking in the rain?

Hiking in the rain can be a challenge, but it doesn't have to be! We have all been there: hiking in the rain.

But if you are in for a long hike, or if you are hiking in inclement weather, it can be hard to keep your hands dry. Luckily, there are several tricks to keeping your hands dry while hiking in the rain! Here are a few simple tips:

  • Wear good old-fashioned rubber gloves. They can be found at any grocery store and come in a variety of colors and styles, so you can find something that fits your personality. These are also great for other outdoor activities like gardening or snowshoeing! You can also go for a portable glove dryer which is a perfect solution to keep your hands dry in hike activities.

  • Skip applying lotion directly onto your hands; instead, scrunch up some paper towels or toilet paper and liberally apply them to your hands before putting on the gloves. This will help absorb moisture throughout the day without drying out too quickly or leaving residue behind when you remove them at nightfall.

  • Pack an extra pair of socks inside of a pair of shoes. Just in case one gets soaked through during the day's hike! This will prevent blisters from forming on either side of your foot as well as keeping water away from your feet for long periods of time.

How does a glove dryer help?

It is essential to keep the hands dry, especially in winter when the skin is more prone to chapping and cracking. A glove dryer can help to speed up the process of drying wet gloves, and it also has the added benefit of preventing the growth of bacteria.

There are a few different types of glove dryers on the market, but they all work in basically the same way. You simply place your wet gloves in the dryer, and it will use heat to quickly dry them. Some glove dryers also come with a timer, so you can set it to run for a specific amount of time.

A glove dryer is a great way to keep your hands dry and extend the life of your gloves. If you are someone who frequently has to deal with wet gloves, then a glove dryer is definitely a worthwhile investment!
